“Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light”

The Awakening Service

SUNDAYS @ 9 A.M.

Welcome to the Awakening service! We believe that God has a message to awaken us all to His great love through music, prayer, scripture, word, and sacraments. Whether you are a lifelong believer or are searching to encounter God for the first time, this service is for you.

We look forward to meeting you on Sunday morning!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We have plenty of parking across from the gymnasium entrance on E 27th street as well as in the parking lot next to the playground. You are welcome to park in any of the spaces around the entire building.

  • Wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing! We have folks who wear anything from blue jeans to blue suits and ties. We believe that Jesus cares more about what’s on the inside than on the out.

  • We have an incredible praise band made up of committed and passionate Christians. The songs sung are often heard on contemporary Christian radio.

  • Absolutely! We believe that hearing tiny voices and wrestling within the seats is a sign of life. We also have a children’s time in which the children are invited to come forward for their own special message (adults certainly learn from it too!) Nursery care is also provided and staffed by those who love and care for kids. Children’s Sunday School is offered following the service at 10:00am.

  • We believe that we are to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this through prayer, bible study, and in relationship with fellow believers. Sunday school is offered for adults at 10:00am following the Awakening Service.

  • On the first Sunday of every month our worship service offers a time for communion or the Lord’s Supper. This is a time in which our church remembers and celebrates Jesus breaking bread and sharing the cup with the disciples before he was arrested, tried, and crucified. Our church offers this time to celebrate the gift of Christ and salvation found in him.
